Together with Prof. Tobias Scheytt, Head of the Center for Postgraduate Studies (ZWW) at the Helmut Schmidt University/University of the German Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU/UniBw H), and Frigate Captain Bernd Kniebusch from the German Armed Forces Leadership Academy, University President Prof. Klaus Beckmann welcomed nearly 60 newly enrolled participants of the Master’s program Military Leadership and International Security (MFIS) to the first module weekend today.
The program enables military junior leaders from the Bundeswehr and allied armed forces to complement and deepen their professional training with a scientific reflection on strategy, leadership, security, and international relations. This program is recommended for military junior leaders who are admitted to the General and Admiral Staff Service Course (LGAN) at the German Armed Forces Leadership Academy, have successfully completed it, or have acquired comparable knowledge elsewhere. Parts of the LGAN training are included in the program.
