Excursion Highlighting the German Armed Forces <\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In early April, the Center for Postgraduate Education (ZWW) invited the trainees of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) to spend a day visiting various German Armed Forces institutions in Berlin. By visiting the Operational Command and the dental and dermatology departments at the German Armed Forces Hospital in Berlin, the trainees gained insights into the daily operations of the German Armed Forces. <\/p>

The Operational Command primarily focused on the challenges posed by the changing global political landscape.<\/p>

At the German Armed Forces Hospital, the chief physicians of the dermatology and dental departments guided the trainees through the operating rooms and facilities, sharing short anecdotes along the way.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Federal Ministry of Finance Trainee Program<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The trainee program at the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) offers graduates in economics\u2014whether they are entering the workforce for the first time or returning after a career break\u2014the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the work of the BMF. The program is also open to graduates from other disciplines such as mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and engineering, and political science. <\/p>

Trainees can expect an attractive working environment that offers insights into various areas of the ministry and diverse development opportunities in topics such as stable public finances, digitalization, economic growth, taxation, and many more.<\/p>

The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the Helmut Schmidt University \/ University of the German Armed Forces Hamburg contributes the theoretical and conceptual components in four course modules. Each two-week module provides trainees with subject-specific content\u2014such as administrative law, legal methodology, and labor law\u2014as well as soft skills (e.g., time management, professional confidence, etc.), digitalization in public administration, and political studies. <\/p>
